I loved the book. The depth of the characters made it a joy to read. Cal was special to read about for he had been hurt in away that could have crippled a person but he didn't let him. Despite his challenges he decided to adopt a child named Kayla. The other main character Jessica also had challenges to face as a Dr. She thought as a Trauma Dr she would never have to see another patient that was a child. When that didn't work she thought that working in Honduras would take her away from her

A K-9 officer and a doctor are thrown together when he is injured during an earthquake rescue, and she is the trauma doctor on the scene. When the Right One Comes Along by Kate James is a touchingly sweet romance involving a trauma surgeon and a K-9 search & rescue officer who meet after a deadly earthquake rocks their area. Add in Scout, a search & rescue dog, and an orphaned child for additional heart-tugging moments. Really enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more of Kate James' romances. I won this book from a book tour, and chose to review it voluntarily.
