Charlie, a highly-strung, openly gay over-thinker, and Nick, a cheerful, soft-hearted rugby player, meet at a British all-boys grammar school. Friendship blooms quickly, but could there be something more...? Charlie Spring is in Year 10 at Truham Grammar School for Boys. The past year hasn't been too great, but at least he's not being bullied anymore, and he's sort of got a boyfriend, even if he's kind of mean and only wants to meet up in secret. Nick Nelson is in Year 11 and on the school rugby team. He's heard a little about Charlie - the kid who was outed last year and bullied for a few months - but he's never had the opportunity to talk to him. That is, until the start of January, in which Nick and Charlie are placed in the same form group and made to sit together. They quickly become friends, and soon Charlie is falling hard for Nick, even though he doesn't think he has a chance. But love works in surprising ways, and sometimes good things are waiting just around the corner... From the author of Solitaire and Radio Silence comes a bind up of the first two chapters of Heartstopper, an ongoing webcomic.

You can't tell whether people are gay by what they look like. And gay or straight aren't the only two options.Heartstopper: Volume One ~~ Alice OsemanHarvey Milk once said You got to give them hope . This is exactly what Alice Oseman does in her wonderful Heartstopper comics. She gives hope ~~ hope to an entire generation of young adults who need a champion. Oseman is their voice. And what a wonderful voice she is. If you haven't guessed it already, I loved Heartstopper. In the span of 263

Alice Oseman's Heartstopper is a beautifully poignant graphic novel about identity, friendship, crushes, and the flush of first love. Most people in school seem to know that Charlie is gay. Hes taken some bullying for it, and its toyed with his self-esteem and what he thinks he deserves in terms of relationships, but for the most part, life isnt too bad.One day Charlie gets assigned to a new classroom and sits next to Nick Nelson, who is a grade ahead of him. Nick is tall, muscular, popular, a

WHOLESOME. GAY.this was so lovely, and it's not even over!!!!!! the story follows nick & charlie and honestly i am just so blessed by them and this comic. it's a simple comic about friendship & discovering your sexuality. the reading format was a little strange to get used to for me (lots of scrolling) but the art work was SO DAMN CUTE. the story was cute and the art work was just perfectly suited to it. all in all, you gotta read this. not much else to say.

each time i read this it just gets better and better

Re-read 8/20/19: I still love this SO! DANG! MUCH! Charlie and Nick are too pure and my heart is positively soaring. ALSO: This (as well as Volume 2!) are the Sassy Book Club picks for the month of August! The live-show will be on Friday, August 30th at 7pm PST on Kassie's channel. We hope to see you there!Original read 11/23/19: Uhm hello this is MY FAVORITE GRAPHIC NOVEL EVER. I have never swooned so hard in my life omg

This is one of the most adorable stories Ive ever read.To begin with, the characters are ridiculously lovable. Nick and Charlie are two precious cinnamon rolls, and theyll be locked in your heart from the very beginning. What is more, they actually have a healthy relationship, in which they talk about their feelings (and no one gets pressured to come out before theyre ready!).What I love especially is that problematic characters get called out, and its apparent to everyone that theyre in the
