I have to admit I started skimming pages toward the end just trying to finish it. I enjoyed her Walk With the Spirits books and was hoping that this would be just as good, but I have to say I think her latter works are her best. But that's just me.Emma, Charlie, Val and the ghost of the original Emma and Daniel are an interesting concept although the explanation of why Emma and Charlie are so connected and why he could be so popular and her not is weird to me. The first page didn't really warm me to the characters or the story. I didn't like her friend Val, and I thought it was a bad start to the book. Their English assignment is to write about something strange or scary and Val wants to write about Emma and Charlie. Nice. Very flattering to hear your friend thinks you're strange or scary. it's no doubt that i would come to roll my eyes @ this piece. i actually remember the time i got this. i believe it was during the summer time while i was transitioning from elementary to middle school. my mom & i used to go on great excursions to the library & she found this copy & brought it home. since it wasn't registered @ the library, she claims she didn't steal it but it's one of my fondest memories. i'm sure if i read this during my middle school years, i'd have found it

Enjoyed this read as pure sweet fun, YA for sure but a great story line! Would recommend.

thi was actually a pretty good book the only reason i decided to read it was because i liked how the cover looked! i didn't notice the guy at first and then i was like oh yea well anyways..... the book is mostly about this girl, Emma, that makes a bet with her brother, Charlie,(they have this weirdo connnection, it's like they can sense what the other person is feeling if their guard is down) that she can last a night next door at this creepy house (the cover of the book) well goes and then
